ABOUT
The Crofton Hotel is situated in the town of Crofton, on the calm waters of Osborne Bay in the Cowichan Valley. The original town site of Osborne Bay was homesteaded by a handful of families in the mid-1800s. Those early settlers farmed land and timber claims granted by the government of the day. Then, just before the turn of the century, a chain of events reshaped the town forever: Henry Croft, for whom the town is named, discovered Copper, and the town was transformed almost overnight. It has seen many twists and turns since then!
The Crofton Hotel has been proudly serving this community since 1902, although it has seen many incarnations. Under new ownership, and with a fabulous new menu and live entertainment; The Crofton offers a totally unique and unrivaled destination for everyone from new visitors to the area to locals alike: All are welcome!
As we like to say “Come Home to The Crofton!”

I did get to your pub for the first time since your renovation.
I was shocked about the lack of accessibility for wheelchairs. I was not aware that it was legal to do extensive changes like that and not comply to the building code, what specifically provides accessibility standards for public buildings.
I am sure it was just an oversight, especially since it would have been so easy to provide a ramp alongside the stairs.
